Do you extract teeth at Cayce Family Dentistry?
We would have to get our patient in for an exam and an X-ray. The doctor would then decide if he would remove the tooth himself or refer the patient to a specialist.
Are you in-network with my insurance company?
Our fees are under the 50 percent range for our area. Due to our fees being lower, it doesn't usually make much of a difference being in- or out-of-network. We are only in-network with Delta Dental Premier. We do file with all insurance companies as long as they don't specify that you have to see an in-network dentist. The majority of our clientele is out-of-network and loves the quality of service that we provide.
Do you take walk-in emergencies?
We do not take walk-ins. However, we do reserve time for emergencies. So if a patient were to have an emergency, we would have something to offer.
Do you accept payment plans?
We work closely with a financial partner called CareCredit. They are a credit card for medical and dental expenses. Our patients love this option because they offer a six-month or 12-month no-interest payment plan. We do not do in-house financing.
Why do I have to take X-rays every year?
Dental X-rays help the dentist visualize areas of decay or other abnormalities that may not be visible with an oral exam.
Why do I have to get cleaning every six months?
As plaque builds up on teeth, it hardens and becomes tartar, which can be difficult to remove. By having your dental cleaning every six months, it lessens your chances of tartar buildup and decreases your chances of gum disease. Exams are also performed during your cleaning to detect decay and/or oral cancers.
