Before beginning the filling treatment, Cayce Family Dentistry will apply a topical anesthetic to numb the area so you won't feel a thing. Then we will quickly and efficiently remove the decay from the affected tooth or teeth. Once the decay is removed, we will begin filling in the tooth with a composite or amalgam filling. Before sealing the feeling, we will make sure you are able to bit and comfortably align your teeth. Our experienced staff will make sure you are comfortable during the entire filling process and will answer any questions you may have after your filling is completed.
Fillings can also be used to easily restore a cracked tooth. If you notice sharp pains only while eating, biting, or drinking you could have a cracked tooth. When you come in for a dental exam, Cayce Family Dentistry will thoroughly examine your teeth to identify the cracked tooth. Then we will discuss all of your dental options before any treatment. If left untreated, a cracked tooth could cause further damage to your mouth and gums.
